Vauxhall Vectra For Sale
Critics will tell you the Vauxhall Vectra is dull. Just tell them how little you paid for one. Rapid depreciation from new makes the Vauxhall an absolute bargain on the used market. The Vectra is comfortable, quiet and refined, an ideal choice for high-mileage drivers. It's a much better car than its reputation suggests.

Vauxhall Vectra Review
For:Refined, comfortable, good diesels, bargain prices
Against:Workmanlike drive, drab cabin
Autoquake.com verdict: star
Why buy one?
Don't believe this car's critics. The Vauxhall Vectra is much better than its reputation. Okay, it's not the sharpest looking car or the most exciting to drive, but a used Vectra is an absolute bargain. You get so much car for your money.
It's very good at what it was designed to do - plough up and down the motorway network in quiet and in comfort. The diesels in particular make ideal mile-eaters, with good economy and strong performance.
There's not as much space inside as in the current-shape Ford Mondeo, but the Vectra's big enough for most families.
Why think twice?
Those who accuse the Vauxhall Vectra of being dull do have a point, but this isn't a car for those worried about what badge snobs think.
How safe?
You should have no worries on that score. The Vectra scored a respectable four stars when it was tested by crash test experts Euro NCAP in 2002.
What might go wrong?
Some owners report clunking suspension, and the diesels on older cars can be heavy on oil. Otherwise there's little of significance to worry about.
What do the experts say?
'The Vectra is well suited to easy-going, everyday driving, particularly on the motorway.' What Car?

Which one should I buy?
