Good looks, sharp handling and punchy diesel engines are the main reasons for choosing a used Toyota RAV4. It's a lot of fun to drive for a 4x4, but agile cornering doesn't come at the expense of ride comfort. It's a shame the side-hinged tailgate makes loading bulky items rather awkward.
