Peugeot 207 For Sale
A used Peugeot 207 is one of the best superminis around. You'll pay a little more than for some small cars, but the Peugeot's stylish design, entertaining drive and choice of willing engines make it worth paying a little extra for. However, some rivals offer more rear-seat space, and it's a shame all cars aren't fitted with stability control.

Peugeot 207 Review
For:Good looking, sharp to drive
Against:Limited rear-seat space, prices are firm
Autoquake.com verdict: star
Why buy one?
This is just one of the best-looking superminis. It's one of the best, full stop.
With the 207, Peugeot has remembered how to make small cars fun. There's a range of willing engines and sharp handling to match. It's quiet and refined enough to tackle regular motorway drives, too, with a comfortable ride.
Inside, the 207 is well made, and the boot can easily swallow the weekly shop.
Why think twice?
Strong demand means a used Peugeot 207 isn't the cheapest of small cars. Rear-seat space, in particular legroom, is limited compared with some rivals.
How safe?
Every model comes with a respectable roster of safety features, although it's a shame stability control isn't standard across the board. Should the worst happen, a second-hand 207 should offer good protection. It scored five out five when tested by crash test experts Euro NCAP in 2006.
What might go wrong?
A used 207 should prove a reliable buy, if not quite as dependable as a Honda Jazz or Toyota Yaris. We've heard of the odd problem with the dashboard's LED display, but nothing major.
Anything else I should know?
The CC version has a folding metal hard-top which gives the security of a coupe car but with top-down motoring whenever the sun shines. It's not cheap, though.
Which one should I buy?
- Greenest? 207 1.4 HDi
- Fastest? 207 1.6T 175 GTi
- Best? 207 1.4 VTi 95 S
