Ford Ka For Sale
It's hard not to like the Ford Ka. There's something infectious about its sense of fun and unique styling. Around town, it's nimble and entertaining, ready to dive into the smallest gap in traffic or the tiniest parking space. The Ford Ka is happy enough on the motorway, too, although the engine is a little noisy.

Why buy one?
A used Ford Ka is the kind of car to put a smile on your face even before you turn the key. It's been around forever and a day (the original Ford Ka went on sale in 1996), but the design still looks fresh, cute and appealing.
There's evidence of the same flair inside the car, with its funky looking dash. In spite of the car's small size, even tall drivers should be able to get comfy.
Something else you might not expect - the Ka is great fun to drive, darting in and out of small gaps in traffic and generally making you want to take the long way home.
The new Ford Ka (09-) is too recent to be available in numbers on the used market but, like its predecessor, it's appealing and fun to drive.
Why think twice?
Space in the front might be okay, but a used Ford Ka isn't the car to choose if you regularly carry adults in the back seats. There's just not enough room. Boot space is also at a premium.
The 1.3-litre engine is too noisy when accelerating hard, although the engines in the new Ka are an improvement.
How safe?
Small cars don't necessarily compromise on safety. That said, the Ka's three out of five score in Euro NCAP crash tests is modest by modern standards. The 2009 model is better, scoring four out of five.
What might go wrong?
Not a lot. And if your second-hand Ford Ka does need attention, it should be very cheap to fix. Faults with the suspension or electrics are the most common complaints.
What do the experts say?
'The Ka out-drives the 500, but loses out on value and desirability.' 4Car
