Audi Q7 For Sale
It's an imposing car, the Audi Q7. Not the kind of thing you'd buy if you want to merge into the background. But beneath the aggressive looks and huge size there's a practical family 4x4. There's room for seven passengers when needed, and lots of luggage space with the rear seats stowed.

Audi Q7 Review
For:Huge presence, staggering performance, space for seven
Against:Firm ride, hard to park, thirsty petrols
Autoquake.com verdict: star
Why buy one?
Because a used Audi Q7 is one of the best big 4x4s you can buy. Considering it weighs over two tonnes and is more than 5 metres long, the Q7 is remarkably agile. Even with the smallest diesel engine, this car is seriously quick.
Inside, the cabin is every bit as well built as you'd expect of an Audi. There are three rows of seats, so there's space for seven. With the rear seats stowed in the floor, there's loads of room for luggage.
Why think twice?
Cars like this cost a lot to run, even if you go for a diesel, and a used Audi Q7 is no exception.
The pay off for the Q7's surprising ability on twisty roads is an over-firm ride, especially around town.
How safe?
A used Q7 is so huge you'll have to run into something pretty large to even notice. If you do find an object big enough to put a serious dent in your Audi, you'll be pleased to know the Q7 has a full complement of airbags. It scored four out of five stars in a Euro NCAP crash test in 2006.
What might go wrong?
As a rule, not much. But if you do face unexpected bills with a second-hand Audi Q7, they're likely to be big ones.
What do the experts say?
Anything else I should know?
The V12 is a staggeringly fast car, but very rare, and not worth the extra over the V8 diesel. The car received a mid-life nip and tuck in 2009. Look out for these cars, as fuel efficiency and emissions were improved.
