What do you do?
I am the CEO and am responsible for the overall direction of Autoquake.com, expanding its operations across the UK and continuing to drive sales through our online marketplace.
Why work for Autoquake.com?
I'm delighted to have joined the Autoquake.com team. I've been a close watcher of the company since its early conception and I'm deeply excited to be bringing my automotive industry experience, skills and insight to such a revolutionary business. I believe together we have what it takes to drive the business forward on full throttle, as the company transforms the car buying experience for consumers and the automotive industry as a whole.
What did you do before?
I have worked for over 25 years at the leading edge of the automotive industry in senior management positions at a some of the biggest names in the industry, including Masterlease, Carland, Pendragon, Ford and Lex vehicle Leasing to name but a few. My experience with fleets will enable me help the team to really boost the supply chain of quality ex-fleet vehicles for remarketing on Autoquake.com's website and promoting the company ethos that the buying and selling of cars online should be as safe, easy convenient and fair as any other purchase we make in our daily lives.
What do you drive?
I drive an Audi TT and just love driving it! It's such a fantastic sports car.

What do you do?
I head up the Engineering Team at Autoquake.com, overseeing the implementation and execution of Autoquake.com's end-to-end e-commerce processing systems and infrastructure. I also play an integral role in the expansion of the business by driving efficiencies that are essential to the company's strategic growth plan.
Why work for Autoquake.com?
Having worked for other start ups and corporate companies I believe the Autoquake.com type of 'Can Do' culture is more satisfying. I also believe in the Autoquake.com business model and see it as a catalyst for a major shake-up in the motor trade, of the type that was experienced when companies like Lastminute.com, Holidayhotels.com, Expedia.com and Holidayautos.com came in to the travel sector.
What did you do before?
I have more than 17 years' experience working across the automotive industry and e-commerce sector, which includes my most recent role as Head of Product Development at Cheap Flights Global where I was responsible for the product direction and development of the company's core website, information management systems and managing international development teams across a number of key projects.
Prior to Cheap Flights, I held a number of senior management positions across various companies, including Senior Technical Product Manager for Cendant, Technical Director at Holiday Autos/Lastminute, Group IT Director at Clubhaus PLC, Assistant IT Director (EMEA) at Interval International (part of Interactive Corp), and Systems Consultant at Toyota GB.
What do you drive?
I drive a Jaguar X-type which I purchased when it was one year old. The reasons for choosing the Jaguar were that the kids liked the name Jag and the colour, my wife liked the white leather and I liked the V6 engine because I do a lot of mileage. I also prefer something large just in case I am in an accident. I prefer to keep as much distance between me and the car that I might I hit or get hit by!

Why work for Autoquake.com?
This is a car retailer like no other – It really does deliver amazing value and delighted customers. Why would I not want to join a company like that?
What did you do before?
I was at the major vehicle rental company Avis Europe Plc for 10 years. My most recent role was as European Fleet Planning, Systems and Strategy Director. I was responsible for the planning and co-ordination of 200,000 European vehicle purchases (and sales) per year. My main achievement was to instigate and negotiate a 5 year pan European relationship with General Motors Europe, described by Financial Times as "Largest fleet deal in history”. Prior to Avis I worked in petrol retailing, managing a network of 400 petrol forecourts and also at Rover Cars in a range of roles working closely with the dealer network.

What do you do?
I coordinate activities with all new and existing corporate customers, developing relationships within the automotive community and generally expressing the Autoquake.com message to potential new partners.
Why work for Autoquake.com?
The reason for joining Autoquake.com is a simple one - I believe that Autoquake.com has a dynamic and truly unique proposition that will change the way people buys cars in the future. Who wouldn't want to save time and money!
What did you do before?
I started my career as an articled clerk for a firm of solicitors at home following university. I quickly moved into sales with a company of legal publishers based in London, and having got the taste for sales joined Rank Xerox for five years, a company recognised in providing unrivalled sales training and market leading products. I then got my first taste of the automotive world when I joined Dial Contracts, as a Sales Executive where I spent four years. Following Dial I joined DaimlerChrysler in the UK to develop their multi-marque contract hire company. After DCX I worked as the Volkswagen Group Account Manager for UK-based service provider QEK Global Solutions, managing the team that supported the Volkswagen Group's press, company car and demonstration fleets.
After four years I joined JATO Dynamics to further develop my skills in the international arena. My work with JATO took me to all corners of the globe, developing relationships and providing services for all the household names in the automotive world. I spent my last two years with JATO managing their Asia-Pacific customers and local staff, spending time in Japan, China, Thailand, Korea and India. I also had the responsibility of managing General Motors on a global level on behalf of JATO - a wonderful time.
The role before I joined autoquake was with EurotaxGlass in the UK as Key Account Director, managing their key accounts and services across the whole vehicle lifecycle from R&D, dealer services, insurance, leasing and rental to e-salvage. I then joined Autoquake.com in the summer of 2007.
What do you drive?
I drive a Mercedes-Benz ML 270 Diesel. Why? Because I've never had the chance to drive a 4X4 before!

What do you do?
I work with the different teams at Autoquake.com to drive our marketing and product development. This spans everything from online marketing to product management and web design. We work hard to make sure we provide the best experience to anyone interested in buying a used car online.
Why work for Autoquake.com?
I had always felt let down by the experience of buying a used car. Cars were hard to find, often overpriced and there was a need to haggle to get the best deal. When Jeanette and I founded Autoquake.com this is what we set out to change. It has been fantastically rewarding to hear all the positive customer feedback that we've had over the years. It truly feels like we have created a better way of buying cars and that is hugely rewarding.
What did you do before?
Prior to founding Autoquake.com I worked for Openwave where I held a number of positions, including Business Unit Leader for Openwave's largest unit which generated annual revenue of £70M. In my early career, I worked at eBay and ABB, where I was the driving force behind a number of software development projects in the automotive industry. Having an MBA from Stanford Business School, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University I am probably the most overeducated used car salesman in the country.
What do you drive?
I drive a Mercedes CLK. I have always loved the CLK - it is beautifully designed and sporty car while still comfortably fitting four adults and providing a lot of luggage room. I bought the car just before we started Autoquake.com and because I became frustrated with all the overpriced CLKs I found in Mercedes dealer showrooms I ended up buying it new. Buying it through Autoquake.com would have saved me a lot of money and that's certainly where I will buy my next car.

What do you do?
It's my job to ensure my team and I give customers the best experience we can.
Why work for Autoquake.com?
I have worked for car dealers, manufacturers and leasing companies for the last 25 years. The industry way of selling cars is all about how much you can sell the car for and how many you can sell - it breeds a very aggressive and confrontational way of selling, often forcing things on customers that they don't want or need. Autoquake.com gave me the chance to break that mould. We help people to buy the car they want, not force them to buy the car we have to sell. It's more of a service than a sales operation - no pushy sales people, no hard sell, just open and honest people giving customers what they want.
What did you do before?
I started off working as an apprentice mechanic for a Vauxhall dealer when I left school more years ago than I care to remember. I passed my apprenticeship after four years and in the next 12 years worked my way up to General Sales Manager.
I then spent eight years working for Motability Finance who provide cars for around 400,000 disabled people in the UK.
I was then asked to work for a consultancy and training company who work with most of the major car manufacturers in the UK. This was great fun but being away from home all week every week was very tiring.
The role before Autoquake.com was working as a Strategic Account Manager for Masterlease. My job was to look after 'the crown jewels' accounts including some very well known household names. I then joined Autoquake.com at the beginning of 2007.
What do you drive?
I drive a Volvo S60 at the moment which, of course, I bought through Autoquake.com. It's not the most exciting of cars but with the miles I do it's comfortable, cost-effective and reliable. I have loved cars all my life and also have a number of other vehicles I have collected over the years. This includes a World War 2 American Jeep which is great fun to drive around at weekends in the summer with the top down.

What do you drive?
I drive Nissan Qashqai which proved to be an excellent car. The overall interior/exterior is dynamic and very tastefully done. It's comfortable, good fuel economy and has highest ever rating for occupant protection. Qashqai is a new crossbreed of SUV and hatchback defining its own class. It drives like a car and feels like an SUV with enough space to get both of my kids in the back with all their stuff.
